The much-talked about Ghanaian Fashion & Design Week 2013 came to an end 3 days ago (the 13th of October 2013). The 3-day event which is already being touted as ‘the most successful in the series’, showcased 15 amazing Ghanaian designers on the catwalk.
Designers on the catwalk included Gloria Adablah, Akoah Tsibo-Takyi, Ajepomaa Designs, Tap Designs, Modella B, Trish O Couture, 1981, Ameyo, Emefa Cole, House of Marie, Tuedor & Wright, Sarah Duah, Katugulu Mwedwa, Vonne Couture and Jil Boutique.

Highlights: Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2014 (Day 1)

The 2nd edition of GTB‘s Lagos Fashion & Design Week has kicked off. The annual fashion and show which aims to showcase the finest and most promising fashion designers in Nigeria (and West Africa) began yesterday.
Day 1 of the Lagos Fashion & Design Week featured young and upcoming designers – Adebanke Olopade, April by Kunbi, Orente Ayaba, Otumine Nelson Moore, Pablo Sisiano, Phunke Afrique, Samson Soboye & Weizdurhm Franklyn.

lookbook: Orange Culture’s “Dovtail” 2015 Collection for Men

Up-and-coming fashion brand Orange Culture headed by Nigerian designer Adebayo Oke-Lawal have unveiled their 2015 resort collection tagged “Dovetail“.


The collection is usually inspired by staircases in and around the city of Lagos. According to the designer, “the imperfection of staircases in Lagos, doesn’t necessarily take away from their beauty as the… lines, joints and dimensions make each step an exciting adventure, a step into an airy discovery.”


The designer further explains, “the staircases have a rustic appearance that reinterprets the natural structure of wood and inspired the prints developed for the collection.”
